What are hygienic masks?

Hygienic masks are a complement to the physical distancing and hygiene measures recommended by the Authorities in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Characteristics:

- They cover the mouth, nose and chin.

- They are provided with a harness that goes around the head or is attached to the ears.

- They are not an PPE or a medical device.

- They can be disposable or reusable.

- Types:

              - Masks that comply with the specification UNE 0064:2020 (disposable masks) or UNE 0065:2020 (reusable masks).

              - Masks that comply with CEN CWA 17533:2020.

              - Others.

- They are a barrier element that protect against the spread of COVID-19 as long as they are used together with the rest of the physical distancing measures, hand hygiene and other recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
